How to Use WPS Group Chat Search on Windows

Use WPS Group Chat Search with 4 indexed tasks; all 4 are available without membership and can be completed from the top search bar to the Group Chats results view.

1. Open the top global search bar

Entry point: top search bar on the left side

1. Open the WPS collaboration workspace.
2. Look at the top area on the left side and find the search input box.
3. Click the search bar to prepare for the next search action.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: the top search bar is active and ready for input.
• Next action available: you can continue with suggestions or open more search options.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: if you are not in the collaboration workspace, the search entry may not appear.
• Environment note: keep your network available and stay signed in.

2. Open the Search More page

Entry point: top global search bar → Search More

1. Click the top global search bar.
2. In the drop-down menu, click Search More.
3. Wait for the full search page to open.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: the app opens a dedicated search page.
• Next action available: you can see search categories or tabs at the top of the page.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: stopping at the suggestion list without clicking Search More.

3. Switch to the Group Chats tab

Entry point: tab bar at the top of the search page

1. After opening the search page, look at the tab bar at the top.
2. Find the Group Chats tab.
3. Click Group Chats to switch the result scope to group chats.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: the page shows a group-chat-focused result view.
• Next action available: you can enter a group name keyword in the search box.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: staying in another category and getting non-group-chat results.

4. Search group chats by group name keyword

Entry point: Group Chats tab → search box

1. In the group chat search view, click the search box.
2. Enter a group name keyword.
3. Review the matching group chat results.
4. Select the target group chat and open the conversation.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: matching organization group chats appear in the results.
• Next action available: you can open the target group chat and continue the conversation.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: entering message content instead of a group name keyword.
• Environment note: visible results depend on your organization directory or access scope.
