1. Enter Multi-select Mode
Entry point: Right-click a message → Multi-select
- Open the chat conversation and right-click any message.
- Click Multi-select in the shortcut menu.
- Confirm that a checkbox appears next to each message.
- Select the messages you want to forward together.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Checkboxes appear next to messages and the conversation enters batch selection mode.
- Next action available: The bottom action bar remains available for batch actions.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not enter multi-select mode first, you cannot select several messages at once.
- Environment note: The current conversation needs to load normally and stay connected to the internet.
2. Merge and Forward Selected Messages
Entry point: Bottom action bar → Merge and Forward
- After selecting the messages, check the bottom action bar.
- Click Merge and Forward.
- In the contact picker, choose the target contact or group.
- Confirm the destination and click Send.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The contact picker opens and lets you choose a destination conversation.
- Next action available: After sending, you can return to the original conversation or open the destination conversation.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not confirm the destination before sending, the messages may go to the wrong contact or group.
- Environment note: A stable internet connection is needed while sending.
3. Check the Forwarded Result
Entry point: Destination conversation
- Open the destination conversation after sending.
- Check whether a chat record card appears with a title pattern similar to xxx and xxx's chat history.
- Click the card to open the sender, content, and time details for each message.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A chat record card appears in the destination conversation.
- Next action available: The recipient can open the card and review the full message details.
- No side effect: The original messages in the source conversation are not changed by forwarding.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Only checking that the send action completed, without opening the destination conversation to verify the result.
- Environment note: The recipient also needs an internet connection to open the card.
