How-to Guide

1. Enter Multi-select Mode

Entry point: Right-click a message → Multi-select

  1. Open the chat conversation and right-click any message.
  2. Click Multi-select in the shortcut menu.
  3. Confirm that a checkbox appears next to each message.
  4. Select the messages you want to forward together.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Checkboxes appear next to messages and the conversation enters batch selection mode.
  • Next action available: The bottom action bar remains available for batch actions.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not enter multi-select mode first, you cannot select several messages at once.
  • Environment note: The current conversation needs to load normally and stay connected to the internet.

2. Merge and Forward Selected Messages

Entry point: Bottom action bar → Merge and Forward

  1. After selecting the messages, check the bottom action bar.
  2. Click Merge and Forward.
  3. In the contact picker, choose the target contact or group.
  4. Confirm the destination and click Send.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The contact picker opens and lets you choose a destination conversation.
  • Next action available: After sending, you can return to the original conversation or open the destination conversation.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not confirm the destination before sending, the messages may go to the wrong contact or group.
  • Environment note: A stable internet connection is needed while sending.

3. Check the Forwarded Result

Entry point: Destination conversation

  1. Open the destination conversation after sending.
  2. Check whether a chat record card appears with a title pattern similar to xxx and xxx's chat history.
  3. Click the card to open the sender, content, and time details for each message.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A chat record card appears in the destination conversation.
  • Next action available: The recipient can open the card and review the full message details.
  • No side effect: The original messages in the source conversation are not changed by forwarding.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Only checking that the send action completed, without opening the destination conversation to verify the result.
  • Environment note: The recipient also needs an internet connection to open the card.
