Common questions about Document Search usually focus on search scope, filter conditions, and result display; this section covers 4 frequent questions and practical answers.

FAQ

What is the difference between searching by file name and searching by body text?

  1. File name search matches keywords in the document title only.
  2. Body text search checks whether the keyword appears in the document content.
  3. If you only remember a sentence or part of a paragraph, use body text search first.

What should I do if I cannot find a document?

  1. Check whether the keyword is spelled correctly.
  2. Confirm that too many filter conditions are not limiting the results. Remove filters one by one if needed.
  3. Make sure the current account has permission to access the target document.
  4. If the document is stored in another location, switch the Location condition and search again.

How are search results displayed by default?

  1. Search results appear as a matching document list in the right content area.
  2. The list shows file type, file name, location, creator, last modified time, and file size.
  3. Use these details to confirm the target file before opening it.

Why can I only see part of the search results?

  1. Document Search only covers files that the current account is allowed to access.
  2. If a file was created by another member or stored in a team space, confirm that you have access permission.
  3. If multiple search conditions are active at the same time, results are returned by intersection, so reducing filters may help.
