1. Open the New Department page

Entry: Admin Console → Directory → Organization Structure → New Department

  1. Sign in to the WPS 365 Admin Console.
  2. In the enterprise admin area, click Directory to expand directory management options.
  3. Click the Organization Structure tab to open the organization structure page.
  4. Click the New Department button in the upper-right corner to open the new department dialog.

2. Check the automatically created department group

Entry: New Department dialog → WPS Collaboration Department Group area

  1. In the new department dialog, check the WPS Collaboration Department Group area while creating the department.
  2. After the department is created, the system automatically generates the corresponding WPS Collaboration Department Group.
  3. When department members are added or removed, the department group membership updates automatically.
  4. Keep the group size in mind: a single WPS collaboration department group supports up to 3000 members.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: after department creation, the corresponding department group is available.
  • Next action available: later member additions or removals do not require manual one-by-one group maintenance.

Tips While Using

  • Only department members can join the department group.
  • If the department has more than 3000 members, the excess members cannot be added automatically.
