How-to Guide

1. Open the Share Group Chat panel

Entry path: Group chat window → More options in the top right → Share Group Chat

  1. Open the group chat that you want to share.
  2. Click the three-dot icon in the top right corner to open the chat settings panel.
  3. Click Share Group Chat in the panel.
  4. Check the Share Group Chat window. The invite details appear on the left, and the QR code area appears on the right.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Share Group Chat window opens successfully.
  • Next action available: You can continue with Copy Group Link or Save Image.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you are not in a group chat, the Share Group Chat option may not appear.
  • Environment note: Open the target group chat first.

Entry path: Share Group Chat dialog → Copy Group Link

  1. In the Share Group Chat dialog, look at the invite information area on the left.
  2. Confirm that it includes the invite text, the sharer name, the group name, and the group invite link.
  3. Click Copy Group Link.
  4. Open the app where you want to send the invite, paste the copied content, and send it to the people who need to join.
  • Interface result: The group invite link is copied to the clipboard.
  • Next action available: You can paste it into chat, email, or another communication tool.
  • Common mistake: If you do not paste and check the result, you may think the copy action did not work.
  • Environment note: Recipients need to be able to open the link and join the group chat.

3. Share by saving the QR code image

Entry path: Share Group Chat dialog → Save Image

  1. In the Share Group Chat dialog, look at the QR code image on the right side.
  2. Confirm that the prompt below the code indicates joining the group chat by scanning in WPS collaboration.
  3. Click Save Image to save the QR code image locally.
  4. Send the saved QR code image to the people who need to join the chat.
  5. Ask them to scan it with WPS collaboration to join the group chat.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The QR code image is saved locally.
  • Next action available: You can forward the image in chat, email, or presentation materials.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: A cropped or incomplete image may make the QR code hard to scan.
