1. Pin a conversation

Entry: Conversation list → Right-click the target conversation → Pin

  1. In the conversation list on the left, find the conversation you want to pin.
  2. Right-click the conversation.
  3. In the menu that appears, click Pin.
  4. Confirm that the conversation moves to the pinned area at the top of the sidebar.
  5. Check whether a pin icon appears next to the conversation name.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The target conversation appears in the top pinned area of the sidebar.
  • Next action available: You can click the conversation and open the chat normally.
  • Status indicator: A pin icon appears next to the conversation name.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Right-click the conversation in the list, not inside the chat content area.
  • List behavior: The conversation position changes after pinning, which is expected.
  • Membership note: This feature does not require WPS membership.

2. Unpin a conversation

Entry: Conversation list → Right-click a pinned conversation → Unpin

  1. In the top area of the conversation list, find the pinned conversation.
  2. Confirm that the conversation is currently pinned by checking the pin icon.
  3. Right-click the conversation.
  4. In the menu that appears, click Unpin.
  5. Confirm that the conversation leaves the pinned area and returns to its original order in the list.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The target conversation no longer appears in the top pinned area.
  • Next action available: The conversation can still be opened normally in the regular list.
  • Status indicator: The pin icon disappears.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the conversation is not currently pinned, the unpin option may not appear.
