How-to Guide

1. View Message History

Entry: Message editor bar → View Message History

  1. Open the WPS collaboration chat interface.
  2. Click View Message History above the message editor bar.
  3. In the pop-up history window, review the available records.
  4. Switch between these categories as needed: All, Files, Cloud Docs, Images & Videos, and Links.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The message history window opens and shows the historical message list.
  • You can continue: You can switch between categories and review the corresponding content.

Tips While Using

  • The category tabs help narrow the content you want to review.
  • A network connection is usually needed to load collaboration chat history.

2. Jump to Conversation

Entry: Message editor bar → View Message History → Jump to Conversation

  1. Open the WPS collaboration chat interface.
  2. Click View Message History to open the history window.
  3. Move the pointer over the target historical message.
  4. Click Jump to Conversation.
  5. Check whether the chat has moved to the original position of that message.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The current collaboration chat is positioned at the selected historical message.
  • You can continue: You can keep reviewing the messages around that location.

Tips While Using

  • For image and attachment history items, right-click the image or attachment first, then choose Jump to Conversation.

3. View Context

Entry: Message editor bar → View Message History → View Context

  1. Open the WPS collaboration chat interface.
  2. Click View Message History to open the history window.
  3. Move the pointer over the target historical message.
  4. Click View Context.
  5. Review the target message and its surrounding messages in the history window.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The history window moves to the target message area and shows nearby messages.
  • You can continue: You can keep reading the surrounding discussion.

Tips While Using

  • For image and attachment history items, right-click the image or attachment first, then choose View Context.
