Last updated:July 23, 2026

When using WPS Message History on macOS, common questions usually involve where to find the entry, how jump actions work, and how context view behaves; this FAQ covers 3 frequent questions and a short glossary.

FAQ

Why can’t I see the “View Message History” button in chat?

  1. Make sure you are in the WPS collaboration chat interface rather than a regular document editing view.
  2. Check whether the entry appears above the message editor bar.
  3. If it still does not appear, re-enter the current conversation and confirm that your account has access to it.

Why can’t I click “Jump to Chat” directly for images or attachments?

  1. Find the target image or attachment message in the history window.
  2. Right-click the image or attachment.
  3. Select Jump to Chat from the menu to locate the original message.

What is the difference between “View Context” and “Jump to Chat”?

  1. Jump to Chat takes you back to the original location of the message.
  2. View Context shows the messages before and after the selected item in the chat record window.
  3. Use Jump to Chat when you want to return to the original thread position, and use View Context when you want to read the surrounding conversation continuously.
