WPS LAN Files questions usually focus on transfer conditions, status checks, failure handling, and supported scenarios; this FAQ covers 4 common questions and answers.
FAQ
What is the difference between sending a LAN file and sending a regular file?
- LAN file transfer sends the file directly through the same local network without uploading it to the cloud first.
- Regular file sending usually follows an upload-and-share workflow.
- In the same internal network environment, LAN transfer is more suitable for quickly sending larger local files.
What conditions are required to send a LAN file?
- Make sure both the sender and recipient are signed in to WPS collaboration.
- Make sure both users are on the same LAN.
- Make sure the recipient is online and can click Receive in the chat.
What can I do if the file transfer fails?
- Check whether both network connections are working normally.
- Confirm that both users are still on the same LAN.
- Sign out of WPS collaboration and sign in again, then try once more.
- If the transfer still does not complete, use the regular file sending method instead.
Can I cancel the transfer while it is in progress?
- During the waiting-for-acceptance stage, the sender can click the close button on the left side of the card to cancel the transfer.
- After the file enters the in-progress state, the current version does not support canceling during transfer.
- It is recommended to confirm the file content and recipient before the recipient accepts it.
