Can I still receive messages after I turn on Do Not Disturb for Messages?

  1. Yes. Messages still arrive normally.
  2. Do Not Disturb turns off notification alerts, not message delivery.
  3. Unread message counts still appear in the conversation.

Does Do Not Disturb apply to one conversation or all conversations?

  1. It applies only to the currently selected conversation.
  2. Other conversations keep their own notification settings.
  3. If you want to change multiple conversations, set them separately one by one.

Why does the right-click menu sometimes show “Do Not Disturb for Messages” and sometimes “Enable New Message Notifications”?

  1. These are two states of the same notification switch.
  2. When notifications are currently on, the menu shows Do Not Disturb for Messages.
  3. When the conversation is already muted, the menu shows Enable New Message Notifications.

How can I tell whether a conversation is currently muted?

  1. Check whether a 🔕 icon appears on the right side of the conversation.
  2. If the icon is visible, the conversation is in Do Not Disturb status.
  3. If the icon is gone, new message notifications have been restored.
