1. Open the Workbench Settings page

Entry path: Enterprise admin console → Workbench drop-down list → Workbench Settings → Default Workbench

  1. Open the enterprise admin console: https://ap.wps.com/admin/center/.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Workbench Settings.
  3. Find Default Workbench on the right side and open its settings area.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Workbench Settings page opens and the Default Workbench configuration area is visible.
  • What you can do next: You can continue with banner, web workbench, recommended app, or app group setup.

Tips While Using

  • You need enterprise admin permissions to access this page.
  • Use a stable network connection when opening the console and saving settings.

2. Set a banner

Entry path: Workbench Settings page → Default Workbench → Banner settings

  1. In the Banner settings area, click Set banner image.
  2. Upload the banner image.
  3. Add the jump link for the image.
  4. Save the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The banner area shows the configured content.
  • What you can do next: Members can see the banner at the top of the workbench and open the linked page.

Tips While Using

  • Confirm that the image is suitable for enterprise display before uploading it.
  • Make sure the link remains valid so members can open it successfully.

3. Set a web workbench

Entry path: Workbench Settings page → Default Workbench → Web Workbench

  1. In the Web Workbench area, click Set link.
  2. Enter the external webpage URL you want to display.
  3. Save the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The web workbench area shows the configured webpage content or link status.
  • What you can do next: Members can access the configured webpage from the workbench.

Tips While Using

  • Use a webpage address that can be accessed reliably.
  • If the page contains a large amount of content, test it in the usual network environment first.

Entry path: Workbench Settings page → Recommended Apps area

  1. In the Recommended Apps area, click Set.
  2. Select the frequently used apps you want to highlight.
  3. Save the settings.
  • Interface result: The Recommended Apps area shows the selected apps.
  • What you can do next: Members can see these app entries more quickly after opening the workbench.
  • Prioritize apps that the team uses most often.
  • Review the current app layout before making a broad update.

5. Set app groups

Entry path: Workbench Settings page → App Groups area

  1. In the App Groups area, click Set.
  2. Configure the app group content.
  3. Save the settings so apps are displayed by group.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The app area is displayed with the updated group structure.
  • What you can do next: Members can browse apps by group.

Tips While Using

  • Use clear group names so members can understand each category.
  • When there are many apps, organize them by department, scenario, or system type.
