1. Select a Local Video File

Entry: Message editor → File icon → Send Local File

  1. Open a group chat or direct chat.
  2. Click the file icon in the message editor.
  3. Select Send Local File from the menu.
  4. Browse your Mac in the file picker and choose the video file you want to send.
  5. Click Open.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The system file picker opens and local files can be browsed.
  • Next action available: After you select a file, the video preview window opens.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Selecting a non-video file can interrupt the expected sending flow.

2. Preview and Send

Entry: Send Video preview window → Send

  1. After selecting a video file, wait for the Send Video preview window to appear.
  2. Review the thumbnail, file details, and video duration shown in the window.
  3. Hover over the preview area to confirm that the selected content is correct.
  4. Click Send in the lower-right corner to finish sending.
  5. If you do not want to continue, click Cancel or close the window.
