Entry path: Left sidebar → Documents → Share entry on the right side of the target file

  1. Click Documents in the left sidebar to open the cloud document view.
  2. Find the file you want to share, then click the Share icon on the right side of the file, or right-click the file and choose the sharing option.
  3. In the sharing dialog box, click Enable collaboration to get a cloud document link.
  4. After collaboration is enabled, review the generated cloud document link and click Copy Link.
  5. Open the Link Permissions drop-down menu and choose the access level you need.
  6. If you need more controls, click Advanced Settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the sharing dialog shows a cloud document link that can be copied.
  • Next action available: you can copy the link and send it to users, groups, or departments.
  • Permission result: the link permissions match your current sharing needs.

Tips While Using

  • The target file needs to be in a cloud document environment that supports collaboration.
  • An internet connection is required when enabling collaboration and copying the link.
  • Before changing permissions, confirm whether recipients need view, comment, or edit access.

2. Share Directly Inside a Document

Entry path: Top toolbar in the document editing view → Share

  1. Open the file you want to share and enter the editing view.
  2. Find the Share button on the right side of the top toolbar and click it to open the sharing dialog.
  3. Click Enable collaboration to get a cloud document link.
  4. Review the generated cloud document link and click Copy Link.
  5. Use the Link Permissions drop-down menu to set the access level.
  6. If you need more permission options, click Advanced Settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the sharing panel opens inside the document and shows a copyable link.
  • Next action available: you can finish sharing without leaving the current editing view.
  • Permission result: the selected link permissions are saved.

Tips While Using

  • This method is useful when you want to share while actively editing.
  • If the button is unavailable, first confirm that you are signed in and connected to the internet.
  • Both sharing methods follow the same permission logic, so you can choose the entry that fits your current task.
