1. Start a screenshot from the toolbar

Entry: Message editor toolbar → ✂️ button → Screenshot

1. In the toolbar at the bottom of the chat interface, click the ✂️ icon.
2. In the drop-down menu, select Screenshot.
3. When the pointer changes to a crosshair, drag to select the area you want to capture.
4. After the capture is complete, the image appears in the input box.
5. Press Enter or click Send to send the image.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The screenshot appears in the chat input box.
• Next action available: You can send it directly or continue editing your message.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: Releasing the mouse too early may create an unexpected capture area.
• Environment note: You need to be in the WPS collaboration chat interface first.

2. Hide the current window before capture

Entry: Message editor toolbar → ✂️ button → Hide Current Window Screenshot

1. Click the ✂️ icon in the toolbar.
2. In the drop-down menu, select Hide Current Window Screenshot.
3. After the WPS window is hidden automatically, drag to select the screen area you want.
4. When the capture is complete, the image appears in the input box.
5. Confirm the content and send it.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: You can capture content that was previously blocked by the WPS window.
• Next action available: The result can be previewed and sent from the input box.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: Choosing regular Screenshot instead of Hide Current Window Screenshot may leave the target area blocked.

3. Use the screenshot shortcut

Entry: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + A

1. In an interface where Screenshot is available, press Ctrl + Shift + A.
2. After screenshot mode opens, drag to select the screen area.
3. When the capture is complete, review the preview in the input box.
4. Confirm the result and send the screenshot.

4. Edit the selected area before sending

Entry: The bottom markup toolbar appears after you drag a capture area

1. Drag the mouse to select the screenshot area.
2. If you need to adjust the range, drag the blue handles on the border to resize the selection.
3. Use the bottom toolbar to add a rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, brush stroke, text, or mosaic effect.
4. If you want to save the image locally, click Save.
5. If you want to recognize text in the image, click Extract Text.
6. Click the green ✓ to finish and insert the screenshot into the input box, or click ✕ to cancel.

• Interface result: Your markup appears on the screenshot, and the finished image is inserted into the input box.
• Next action available: You can send it, save it, or start another screenshot.
