When using New User, common questions usually focus on permissions, contact visibility, and confirming the result after adding members; this FAQ covers 3 frequent questions.
FAQ
Can a regular member add new people to the group?
- In the target group chat, click the top-right More icon and check whether you can see the + Add or + Add Member entry point.
- If the entry point is visible, select the contacts and confirm the action.
- If the entry point is not visible, the current group permissions may not allow this action, so check with the group manager.
Why can’t I find the person I want to add in the contact list?
- Check the Recent list first. If the person is not there, switch to the Contacts tab.
- Search by name or department to narrow the results.
- If the person still does not appear, the contact may be outside your current visible address range or your account may not have access to that contact.
How do I confirm that the member was added after I click Confirm?
- After the action is complete, return to the chat settings panel or the group member page.
- Check whether the new member now appears in the member area.
- If the result does not appear immediately, keep the network connection normal and reopen the member page to check again.
