1. Open the chat message settings page

Entry path: Enterprise Admin Console → WPS Collaboration → Chat Message Settings

1. Sign in to the enterprise admin console.
2. In the left navigation pane, click WPS Collaboration.
3. Click Chat Message Settings to open the settings page.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: You can see the message recall settings area on the page.
• Next action available: You can continue to adjust the recall time limit or group management permissions.

Tips While Using

• You need to sign in with an enterprise admin account.
• If the related menu is not visible, confirm that the current account has admin permissions.

2. Set the member message recall time limit

Entry path: Chat Message Settings → Message Recall Settings → Allow members to recall messages sent within

1. Open the Chat Message Settings page.
2. In the Message Recall Settings area, find Allow members to recall messages sent within.
3. Select the recall time limit that fits your organization.
4. Available options are 2 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 hour, and 24 hours.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The selected recall time limit is shown as the current value.
• Next action available: Admins can continue reviewing other message management settings.

Tips While Using

• This setting controls the allowed recall window for members across the organization.
• A shorter time limit can help preserve more communication records.

3. Enable any-message recall for group owners and group admins

Entry path: Chat Message Settings → Message Recall Settings → Allow group owners and group admins to recall any message

1. Open the Chat Message Settings page.
2. In the Message Recall Settings area, find Allow group owners and group admins to recall any message (no time limit).
3. Select the checkbox to enable this permission.
4. To disable it later, clear the checkbox.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The checkbox shows the target enabled or disabled state.
• Next action available: Group owners and group admins can perform recall actions in group chats according to the setting.

Tips While Using

• This permission applies only to group chats, not one-to-one chats.
• When enabled, group owners and group admins can recall messages sent by any member in the group.
