How-to Guide
1. Add a task from a message
Entry: Right-click a group chat message → Add to Tasks
- Open the target group chat and find the message you want to turn into a task.
- Right-click the message and select Add to Tasks.
- In the task editor panel that appears at the bottom, review the task content.
- Change the assignee if needed.
- In the due date area, choose Today, Tomorrow, or Other time.
- Click Create in the lower-right corner to finish creating the group task.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The task editor panel opens at the bottom and shows the task content and assignment details.
- Next action available: After you click Create, the task appears in the current group chat task list.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not right-click on a specific message, the Add to Tasks entry may not appear.
- Environment note: You need to be inside a group chat and have access to the related group feature.
2. Add a task from the toolbar
Entry: Bottom toolbar in a group chat → Schedule/Tasks icon → Tasks
- Open the target group chat window.
- In the bottom toolbar, click the calendar icon. When you hover over it, the label shows Schedule/Tasks.
- In the drop-down menu, select Tasks.
- Enter the task content in the input area at the top of the task editor panel.
- Set participants and a due date as needed.
- Click Create in the lower-right corner to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The task editor panel opens and lets you enter task content, participants, and a due date.
- Next action available: After creation, group members can view the item in the current group task list.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you click another bottom entry, you may open Schedule or another feature instead of Tasks.
- Environment note: If online collaboration is unstable, member sync or notifications may appear later than expected.
