Who can change a group avatar?

  1. Open the target group chat and check whether the ... menu in the upper-right corner lets you open group avatar settings.
  2. If the Change Group Avatar button is visible, the current account has the required permission.
  3. If the button is not visible, contact the group owner or admin to confirm the group permission settings.

Which image formats are supported for local upload?

  1. Open the Change Group Avatar dialog and select Local Upload.
  2. When choosing a local image, use JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.
  3. If the image cannot be used normally, confirm the file format first and then upload it again.

How long does it take for other members to see the new avatar?

  1. After saving the avatar change, return to the group chat and check whether the current conversation already shows the updated avatar.
