Who can publish a group announcement?
- Open the target collaborative group chat and go to the Group Announcement page.
- Check whether the Publish Announcement or + Add Group Announcement entry is available.
- If the publishing entry is not available, contact the group owner or an administrator to confirm your current permission.
In most cases, only the group owner and administrators can publish group announcements. Regular members can usually review published announcements but cannot publish them directly.
Will members receive a reminder after a group announcement is published?
- When publishing, check whether Send to group chat is enabled.
- If you want stronger visibility, also confirm whether Display at the top of the chat is enabled.
- After publishing, return to the group chat and check whether a message reminder or top announcement bar appears.
If Send to group chat is enabled, the announcement is sent as a message in the group chat. If top display is also enabled, members can also review the announcement from the top area of the chat.
How do I remove an announcement from the top of the chat?
- Open the announcement list.
- Find the target announcement and click the ... button on the right.
- Select Remove from top of chat.
After that, the announcement is no longer fixed at the top of the chat, but it can still remain in the announcement list.
What content formats does Group Announcement support?
- Open the announcement editor.
- Enter a title in the title field.
- Enter the body in the rich-text editor and use the toolbar as needed.
