1. Open the shortcut settings page

Entry path: WPS Teams main window > Profile avatar in the lower-left corner > Settings > Shortcut keys

  1. Open the WPS Teams client.
  2. Click the profile avatar area in the lower-left corner.
  3. Click Settings in the menu.
  4. In the left panel of Settings, click Shortcut keys.
  5. Review the shortcut sections for sending messages, window control, screenshot, and screen recording.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Shortcut keys page opens and multiple shortcut setting sections are visible.
  • Next action available: You can continue changing the send-message key or setting other shortcuts.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you are not signed in or not on the main WPS Teams window, the entry path may not be visible.

2. Set the send-message shortcut

Entry path: Settings > Shortcut keys > Send message

  1. Open the Shortcut keys page.
  2. Find the Send message section.
  3. Select one option from Enter, Ctrl+Enter, and Alt+S.
  4. Click the option you want to apply.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected send-message option is shown as the active setting.
  • Next action available: In a chat input box, you can send a message with the selected key combination.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: After switching the option, continuing to use the previous key combination can make it seem like the setting did not change.

3. Set window control shortcuts

Entry path: Settings > Shortcut keys > Window control

  1. Open the Window control section.
  2. Turn on Press Esc to close the main window if needed.
  3. In Show/Hide window, click Click to set shortcut.
  4. Press the key combination you want to bind.
  5. If needed, click Restore default next to the setting item.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The window control section shows the current switch state and the bound shortcut.
  • Next action available: You can use the new shortcut to show or hide the main window, or press Esc to close it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: A custom key combination may conflict with Windows or another app and produce unexpected results.

4. Set the screenshot shortcut

Entry path: Settings > Shortcut keys > Screenshot

  1. On the Shortcut keys page, find the Screenshot item.
  2. Click Click to set shortcut.
  3. Press the key combination you want to bind.
  4. Use the new shortcut to trigger screenshot capture.
  5. If needed, click Restore default.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Screenshot item shows the new shortcut combination.
  • Next action available: Pressing the shortcut starts the screenshot function directly.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Choosing a very common shortcut can conflict with another screenshot tool.

5. Set the screen recording shortcut

Entry path: Settings > Shortcut keys > Screen recording

  1. On the Shortcut keys page, find the Screen recording item.
  2. Click Click to set shortcut.
  3. Press the key combination you want to bind.
  4. Use the new shortcut to start screen recording quickly.
  5. If needed, click Restore default.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Screen recording item shows the new shortcut combination.
  • Next action available: Pressing the shortcut starts screen recording directly.
