FAQ
What is the difference between a group task and a personal task?
- A group task is designed for collaboration inside a group chat, where related members can follow the same action item together.
- A personal task is better for items that only you need to view and handle.
- If the task needs shared ownership or group follow-up, use a group task.
Can I assign a task to another group member?
- Yes. In the task editing panel, click the assignee field to change the owner.
- Select the target group member, then confirm the task content and due date.
- Click Create to save the task with the selected assignee.
How can I set the due date?
- In the task editing panel, click the due date field.
- You can choose Today or Tomorrow directly.
- If you need another date, choose Other time and set it there.
Why can’t I see the Add to Tasks option?
- First confirm that you are inside the target collaboration group chat rather than another page.
- Check whether you right-clicked on a specific message, or look for the Schedule/Tasks icon in the bottom toolbar.
- If the option still does not appear, update to the latest version of WPS Office and enter the group chat again.
