How-to Guide
1. Open the Light Approval admin console
Entry: Workspace → Light Approval → Admin Console
- Click Workspace in the left navigation pane.
- Find and open Light Approval in the app list.
- Click Admin Console at the top of the Light Approval page.
- Review the four modules: My Templates, Template Management, Data Management, and Permission Management.

2. Create a new approval template
Entry: Light Approval Admin Console → Template Management → New Template
- In the admin console, click Template Management.
- Click + New Template.
- In the template editor, complete Basic Settings, Form Settings, Process Settings, and More Settings in order.
- Click Publish after the configuration is complete.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The template is ready to publish or has already been published.
- Next action: You can continue editing details or return to the template list.
3. Configure Basic Settings
Entry: Template editor → Basic Settings
- Enter the template name.
- Select a template icon.
- Choose a template group.
- Set the visibility scope.
- Add template administrators.
- Click Form Settings to continue.

- Common mistake: If the template name is empty, the template setup is incomplete.
4. Edit Form Settings
Entry: Template editor → Form Settings
- Review basic controls, advanced controls, and other controls in the left panel.
- Drag controls to the form design area on the right, or click controls to add them.
- Select a control and edit properties such as title, input hint, required status, and print participation in the right settings panel.
- Use copy, delete, or drag-to-sort actions to adjust the layout.
- Click Process Settings when the form is ready.

- Interface result: The required controls appear in the form design area.

Tips While Using
- Common mistake: You cannot edit a control's properties until that control is selected.
5. Set the approval process
Entry: Template editor → Process Settings
- Build the process by connecting nodes in the process settings page.
- Click the + Start Approval node and set the approver type, selection method, approval rule, and selection scope.
- Configure the fallback method for cases where no approver is available.
- Click the + CC node and set the CC recipient type and scope.
- Add more approval nodes or CC nodes as needed.
- Click More Settings when the process is complete.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The process diagram shows the required approval and CC nodes.
- Next action: You can continue to More Settings.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the approval rule does not match the approver selection method, the process may not behave as expected.
6. Configure More Settings
Entry: Template editor → More Settings
- Configure approver actions such as one-click approval, required rejection reason, required return reason, and signature on approval.
- Enable initiator withdrawal if needed.
- Select a print template.
- Set access permissions for approval form details.
- Click Publish at the top when everything is ready.

- Interface result: Advanced template options are configured and ready for publishing.

7. Manage existing templates
Entry: Light Approval Admin Console → Template Management / My Templates
- Open Template Management or My Templates to view the template list.
- Review information such as template name, visibility scope, and last updated time.
- Use actions such as edit, disable, transfer, copy, or delete as needed.
- Use the search box to find a template by name.
