1. Open the Chat Security Settings page
Entry path: Enterprise Admin Console → Security Control → Chat Security
- Sign in to the WPS 365 admin console.
- Click Security Control in the enterprise admin console.
- Expand the security menu and click Chat Security.
- Review the available security options on the chat security page.
Success Criteria
- The Chat Security management page opens successfully.
- You can continue to configure device limits, domain allowlists, and mobile security settings.
Tips While Using
- Admin permissions are required.
- Make sure the network connection is stable before saving changes.
2. Turn on chat client device sign-in limits
Entry path: Chat Security → Chat Client Device Sign-in Limit
- Open the Chat Security page.
- Find the Chat Client Device Sign-in Limit section.
- Turn on the setting.
- Confirm that one member account can stay signed in to up to 1 computer, 1 phone, and 1 tablet at the same time.
- Note that when a new device of the same type signs in, the older device signs out automatically.
Success Criteria
- The device sign-in limit switch is turned on.
- Future sign-ins follow the configured device-type limit.
Tips While Using
- Make sure the setting is saved after enabling it.
- This control applies to chat client sign-in behavior.
3. Configure allowed domains for links opened inside chat
Entry path: Chat Security → Allowed Domains for In-app Links → Settings
- Open the Chat Security page.
- In the Allowed Domains for In-app Links section, click Settings.
- Enter valid domains in the allowlist dialog, separated by commas.
- Add IP addresses, wildcard domains, or standard domains as needed, such as
10.1.1.1,*wps.cn,wps.cn. - Keep the configuration within 250 domains and 5000 characters.
- Click OK to save the configuration.
Success Criteria
- The domain allowlist is saved.
- Links from allowed domains can open inside the chat client.
Tips While Using
- Use standard commas, not full-width punctuation.
- Custom apps and cloud documents follow their own settings instead of this domain rule.
4. Configure external-open blocking controls
Entry path: Chat Security → External-open Blocking Controls
- Open the Chat Security page.
- Find the External-open Blocking Controls section.
- Turn on the blocking switch.
- Confirm that external-open entry points are blocked.
- Confirm that copy-link entry points in the message stream are also blocked.
Success Criteria
- The external-open blocking switch is turned on.
- Related external action entry points are no longer available in the chat container.
Tips While Using
- This setting affects both external-open actions and copy-link entry points.
5. Configure mobile security settings
Entry path: Chat Security → Mobile Security Settings → Settings
- Open the Mobile Security Settings page.
- In the Disabled Actions on Mobile section, select the restrictions you need.
- You can block saving received or captured images and videos to the local photo album.
- You can block copying and pasting chat content outside the app.
- You can block opening non-cloud-document chat files in other apps or saving them to local storage.
- You can block web sharing, including copy-link and open-in-browser entry points.
- If some members need an exception, click Add in the whitelist area and select those members.
- Click Save to apply the settings.
Success Criteria
- The mobile security settings are saved.
- Restricted members follow the selected mobile content-sharing rules.
Tips While Using
- Add exempted members to the whitelist before rollout if needed.
- These controls mainly affect chat behavior on phones and tablets.
