1. Send a Location Message

Entry path: Message box → + button → Location

  1. Open a WPS collaboration one-to-one chat.
  2. Tap the + button on the right side of the message box to expand the feature menu.
  3. Tap Location to open the location selection page.
  4. On the location selection page, use the following areas as needed:
    • Map area: View the current location and drag the map to adjust the selected place.
    • Search place: Enter keywords to find a specific place.
    • Nearby places list: Select a nearby place directly.
  5. After selecting the target place, tap Send in the upper-right corner.
  6. Return to the chat and confirm that the location appears as a card with the place name, detailed address, and map preview.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A location card appears in the chat.
  • Next action available: You can continue sending messages or tap the card to view details.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you leave the page before selecting a place, the location will not be sent.
  • Environment note: If location permission is not granted, current-location detection may be unavailable, but you can still search for and send a specific place.

2. View and Interact with a Location Message

Entry path: Location card in chat

  1. Find a sent or received location card in a collaboration one-to-one chat.
  2. Check the place name, detailed address, and map thumbnail shown on the card.
  3. Tap the location card to open the location details page.
  4. Continue reviewing the map information shown on that page.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The full location card information is visible in the chat.
  • Next action available: Tapping the card opens the location details page.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Treating the location card like plain text may cause you to miss the tap-to-open details action.
  • Environment note: Loading the map thumbnail and details requires network access.
