1. Open the Group Poll entry

Entry point: Group chat window → bottom toolbar → More → Group Poll

  1. Open the target group chat window.
  2. Click the More icon in the bottom toolbar.
  3. Select Group Poll from the expanded menu.
  4. Open the Start Poll editing dialog.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The Start Poll editing dialog is open.
  • Next actions: You can continue entering the poll title, options, and other settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you are not in a group chat window, the poll entry may not appear.
  • Environment limits: You need to be in a group chat where messages can be sent.

2. Enter the poll title and options

Entry point: Start Poll dialog

  1. Enter the poll topic in the title field.
  2. Enter the candidate options in the option fields.
  3. If you need more options, click + Add Option.
  4. Review the option text to make sure it is complete and clear.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The poll title and options are visible in the dialog.
  • Next actions: You can continue to set the deadline or other poll rules.

3. Set the deadline

Entry point: Start Poll dialog → Deadline

  1. Find the deadline setting area in the Start Poll dialog.
  2. Select an appropriate poll deadline.
  3. Confirm that the deadline matches the group notification schedule.

  • UI state: The selected deadline is shown in the dialog.
  • Next actions: You can continue with multiple answers or anonymous voting.

4. Turn on multiple answers

Entry point: Start Poll dialog → Multiple Answers

  1. Find the Multiple Answers option in the Start Poll dialog.
  2. Select Multiple Answers.
  3. Confirm that the poll really needs more than one selectable option.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The Multiple Answers option is selected.
  • Next actions: After sending, participants can choose more than one option.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you need a single-choice poll, do not turn this option on.

5. Turn on anonymous voting and send the poll

Entry point: Start Poll dialog → Anonymous Voting → OK

  1. Find the Anonymous Voting option in the Start Poll dialog.
  2. Select Anonymous Voting to hide voter identity.
  3. Review the poll title, options, deadline, and other settings.
  4. Click OK in the lower-right corner.
  5. Check whether the poll has been sent to the group chat as a card.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The poll card appears in the group chat message list.
  • Next actions: Group members can respond directly in the chat.
  • No side effects: The original group chat session remains open.
