1. Set Up a Local Archive Folder

Entry: Mail Settings → Mail Tools → Local Archive Management

  1. Open WPS Mail and click the settings button in the upper-right corner.
  2. Open Mail Settings.
  3. In the left navigation pane, select Mail Tools.
  4. Open Local Archive Management.
  5. In the local archive folder list, click Create Local Archive Folder.
  6. Confirm the action and return to the WPS Mail home page.
  7. After that, archived messages are stored in this local folder.
  8. If you need to manage the folder later, right-click it and use options such as Delete.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The local archive folder appears in the archive management list.
  • Next action available: You can select this folder as the target location in archive rules.

2. Set Up Automatic Archive Rules

  1. Open WPS Mail and go to Mail Settings.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select Mail Tools and open Local Archive Management.
  3. In the Automatic Archive Rules area, click Settings.
  4. Select New Rule.
  5. Enter the rule name.
  6. Set the scope to define which messages should be archived locally.
  7. Set the frequency to define how often the archive action runs.
  8. Set the earlier than this time condition.
  9. In Archive to local folder, choose the target folder.
  10. If needed, select Run once immediately after adding.
  11. Click Add to apply the automatic archive rule.

  • Interface result: The new rule appears in the automatic archive rule list.
  • Next action available: Messages can be archived to the selected local folder based on the rule conditions.
