Does a local file have version history?

  1. The Document History Versions entry mainly applies to files that have been uploaded to the cloud.
  2. If a file is stored only locally, you cannot use this entry to view cloud version history.
  3. Upload or save the file to WPS Cloud first, then use version-related actions.

Will restoring an earlier version overwrite the current content?

  1. Yes. After you restore an earlier version, the current document returns to that version state.
  2. If you still need the current content, preview the target version first.
  3. You can also use Save As to save the historical version as a new file before deciding whether to restore it.

How can I see who modified the document?

  1. Open the version history list.
  2. Check the updater information shown in the version records.
