1. Add a Word Cloud component to a dashboard

Entry: Dashboard page → "+ Add Component" → Chart → "Word Cloud"

  1. Open the dashboard page.
  2. Click the "+ Add Component" button in the upper-left area.
  3. In the component panel, find the Word Cloud icon under the Chart category.
  4. Click Word Cloud to create a default chart component automatically.
  5. Select the component to enter editing mode and continue with data setup.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A default Word Cloud component appears in the dashboard.
  • Next action available: You can open the editing panel and continue with data and style settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you are not on a dashboard page, the "+ Add Component" entry is not available.
  • Environment note: You need edit permission for the current dashboard.

2. Edit or export a chart

Entry: Select an added chart → top-right "..." icon

  1. Click the Word Cloud chart that has already been added to the dashboard.
  2. Click the top-right "..." icon to open the menu.
  3. Choose Configure, Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete as needed.
  4. If you want to continue editing the chart, select Configure to open the editing panel.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The menu opens and shows the available actions.
  • Next action available: You can copy, export as an image, or reconfigure the chart.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the chart is not selected first, the menu may be easy to miss.
  • Environment note: When exporting or copying as an image, wait until the page finishes loading.

3. Configure type and data

Entry: Word Cloud editing panel → "Type & Data" tab

  1. Open the Word Cloud editing panel.
  2. In the "Type & Data" tab, choose the data source.
  3. Click "Data Filter" to set the data range.
  4. Select the keyword field source.
  5. Switch the counting method as needed.
  6. Set the display quantity and review the word-frequency table.
  7. Choose which detail fields to show or hide.
  8. Review the result in the preview pane on the left, then click OK to apply the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The preview pane shows the updated Word Cloud result.
  • Next action available: After you click OK, the dashboard chart updates with the new settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the wrong keyword field is selected, the result may not match your expectation.
  • Environment note: If the text field contains very little content, the chart will show fewer useful keywords.

4. Adjust chart style

Entry: Word Cloud editing panel → "Chart Style" tab

  1. Open the Word Cloud editing panel.
  2. Switch to the "Chart Style" tab.
  3. Choose a preset color scheme under "Theme Color."
  4. Switch to a different shape under "Word Cloud Shape."
  5. Check the display result in the preview pane.
  6. Click OK to save the style settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Word Cloud color or shape changes.
  • Next action available: After saving, you can continue copying, exporting, or editing again.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you change the style but do not click OK, the update is not applied.
  • Environment note: Different data volumes can affect how shapes and colors look in the final chart.
