1. Add a Word Cloud component to a dashboard

Entry path: Dashboard interface → "+ Add Component" → Charts → "Word Cloud"

  1. Open the dashboard interface.
  2. Click "+ Add Component" in the upper-left area.
  3. In the component panel, find "Word Cloud" under the Charts category.
  4. Click "Word Cloud" to generate a default chart component.
  5. Click the component to enter editing mode and continue with data setup.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new default Word Cloud component appears in the dashboard.
  • Next action available: You can open the editing panel to continue setting data and style.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not look under the Charts category, you may miss the Word Cloud entry.

2. Edit or export a Word Cloud chart

Entry path: Click the added chart → the "..." icon in the upper-right corner

  1. Click the Word Cloud chart that you added.
  2. Click the "..." icon in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
  3. Choose the action you need: Configure, Duplicate, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete.
  4. To adjust the chart again, select "Configure" to open the editing panel.
  5. To output the result, select "Copy as Image" or "Export as Image."

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The menu opens and shows the available actions.
  • Next action available: You can duplicate, export, or reconfigure the chart.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the chart is not selected first, the menu may not be available as expected.
  • Environment note: Before exporting an image, confirm that the chart content and style are final.

3. Set type and data options

Entry path: Word Cloud editing panel → "Type & Data" tab

  1. Open the Word Cloud editing panel and switch to the "Type & Data" tab.
  2. In "Data Source," choose the table you want to use.
  3. In "Data Range," click "Data Filter" to set filter conditions.
  4. In "Keyword Field," choose the field used for keywords.
  5. Change the counting method based on your analysis needs.
  6. Adjust the display count and review the word frequency table.
  7. Set the fields shown in detailed data as needed.
  8. Review the result in the preview pane and click "OK" to apply the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The preview pane updates as your settings change.
  • Next action available: After you click "OK," the Word Cloud in the dashboard updates with the new settings.

4. Adjust chart style

Entry path: Word Cloud editing panel → "Chart Style" tab

  1. Open the Word Cloud editing panel and switch to the "Chart Style" tab.
  2. In "Theme Color," choose a preset color scheme.
  3. In "Word Cloud Shape," switch to a different display shape.
  4. Review the live result in the preview pane.
  5. Click "OK" to apply the style settings.

  • Interface result: The Word Cloud color or shape changes.
