1. Select the Trigger Condition

Entry path: Upper-right area of the table → Automation → Create Blank Workflow → choose a trigger type → When Adding or Modifying Records

1. Open the target database table.
2. Click Automation in the upper-right area.
3. Select Create Blank Workflow.
4. In Step 1, under If the following happens, click Please select a trigger condition.
5. Choose When Adding or Modifying Records from the trigger list.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: the current workflow shows When Adding or Modifying Records as the trigger.
• Next step available: you can continue to the trigger settings panel.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: if you are not in the blank workflow creation page, the trigger list will not appear.
• Environment note: open an editable database table before starting.

2. Configure the Trigger

Entry path: Trigger Settings panel → Select the table where the record is located dropdown

1. Open the Select the table where the record is located dropdown and choose the target table.
2. In Trigger when the following field is not empty on add, or when the following field is modified, choose the target field.
3. Click + Add conditions that must also be met and set the filter conditions for added or modified records.
4. Click Save and Enable in the upper-right area.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: the trigger settings are saved and the workflow is enabled or saved successfully.
• Next step available: the workflow can run after a matching record is added or modified.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: if no target field is selected, the trigger cannot be saved.
• Environment note: the fields and values in the conditions should match the field types in the target table.
