1. Import a local file from the bottom sheet bar

Entry path: Bottom sheet bar + → Import File Data → From Local File

  1. Open a Smart Spreadsheet document.
  2. Click the + button in the bottom sheet bar.
  3. Select Import, then choose Import File DataFrom Local File.
  4. In the upload dialog, drag a file in, paste a file, or click to choose a file.
  5. Select the file you want to import. Supported formats include XLSX, XLS, ET, and CSV.
  6. Wait for the data to be imported into the current worksheet.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Imported data appears in the current worksheet.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing, organizing, or saving the spreadsheet.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you are not working inside a Smart Spreadsheet document, the import entry may not appear.
  • Environment note: If you use paste to upload, make sure the file has already been copied to the clipboard.

2. Import a local file from the Data tab

Entry path: Data tab → Data Import → Import File Data → From Local File

  1. Open a Smart Spreadsheet document.
  2. Click the Data tab in the top toolbar.
  3. Select Data Import.
  4. Click Import File DataFrom Local File.
  5. Click Select File and choose the spreadsheet file you want to import from your Mac.
  6. Wait for the data to load into the current worksheet.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected file data appears in the worksheet after import.

3. Import an online document from the bottom sheet bar

Entry path: Bottom sheet bar + → Import File Data → From Online Document

  1. Open a Smart Spreadsheet document.
  2. Click the + button in the bottom sheet bar.
  3. Select ImportImport File DataFrom Online Document.
  4. Click Select File to open the cloud document picker.
  5. Use the left navigation to locate a file from Recent, Starred, Shared, My Cloud Documents, My Devices, or Frequent.
  6. Select the file and click OK.
  7. Wait for the data to be imported into the current worksheet.

  • Interface result: Data from the selected online document appears in the current worksheet.

4. Import an online document from the Data tab

Entry path: Data tab → Data Import → Import File Data → From Online Document

  1. Open a Smart Spreadsheet document.
  2. Click the Data tab in the top toolbar.
  3. Select Data Import.

  5. In the file picker, browse and select the target cloud document.
  6. Confirm the selection to complete the import.
