1. Import File Data
Entry: New Worksheet button in the bottom status bar → Import File Data
- Open the Smart Spreadsheet where you want to import data.
- Move the pointer to the New Worksheet button in the bottom status bar to expand the menu.
- Select Import File Data from the pop-up menu.
- In the file selection window, choose an import method: from a local file or from online documents.
- If you choose a local file, add the target file by pasting it, dragging it in, or clicking to select it.
- If you choose online documents, browse different cloud document paths and select the target file.
- After selecting the target file, click OK.
- Wait while WPS reads the file content and creates new worksheets.
- After the import succeeds, WPS automatically jumps to the new worksheet.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: you can see the newly created worksheet after the import finishes.
- Next action available: you can continue reviewing, editing, or organizing the imported data.
- No side effect: existing worksheets remain available and are not closed by the import process.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you choose an unsupported file format, the import may not continue.
