1. Add a Field
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Tools → Field Management
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Select Field Management.
- Tap Add Field.
- Complete the field settings and save.
What Success Looks Like
- The new field appears in the field list.
- You can continue entering data in that field.
Notes
- If you are not in the field management panel, you cannot add a field from this workflow.
- You need edit permission for the current table.
2. Edit a Field
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Tools → Field Management → Edit
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Select Field Management.
- Tap Edit next to the target field.
- Update the field name or field type, then save.
What Success Looks Like
- The field name or type is updated.
- Later viewing and data entry follow the updated field settings.
Notes
- Review the field purpose before changing it so later entry stays consistent.
- You need edit permission for the current table.
3. Reorder Fields
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Tools → Field Management → Drag field
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Select Field Management.
- Press and hold or drag the field title.
- Move it to the target position and release.
What Success Looks Like
- The field order changes to the new arrangement.
- Collaborators can see the same field order.
Notes
- If the field is not in a movable state, the order will not change.
- Reordering affects how collaborators see the field sequence.
4. Hide a Field
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Tools → Field Management → Hide
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Select Field Management.
- Tap Hide next to the field.
- To show it again later, tap the hide control again.
What Success Looks Like
- The field no longer appears in the current view.
- The field data remains available and can be shown again.
Notes
- Hiding a field is different from deleting it; hiding does not remove data.
- You need edit permission for the current table.
