1. Add a Creator Field

Entry: Click the + button on the right side of the table header → choose Creator from the field type list

  1. Open Smart Table and go to the data table where you want to add a field.
  2. Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
  3. Select Creator from the field type list.
  4. Enter a field name.
  5. Click OK to finish.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new Creator Field appears in the table header.
  • Next action available: You can add records and view the creator information in that column.

Tips While Using

  • The Creator Field is a system field for tracking and filtering.
  • You can rename the field, but the field values are generated by the system.

2. View creator information in records

Entry: Open a data table that already contains a Creator Field

  1. Add a new record to the table, or open an existing list of records.
  2. Check the cells under the Creator Field.
  3. Confirm that each row shows the corresponding creator information.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The row shows the creator name or related identity information.
  • Next action available: You can continue adding records and observe the auto-filled results.

Tips While Using

  • The field is recorded automatically even if you do not type anything into it.
  • It is recommended to stay signed in so the creator identity can be recognized correctly.

3. Confirm that the Creator Field cannot be edited manually

Entry: Open any column that uses the Creator Field

  1. Find the Creator Field in any existing row.
  2. Try to click the cell and change its content.
  3. Check whether the system allows direct editing.

  • Interface result: The field value stays unchanged and cannot be overwritten manually.
  • Next action available: You can continue reviewing creator information in other rows.

Entry: Open the table filter feature → choose the Creator Field
