Why can’t I find the Smart Document option in the new menu?

  1. Check the file type you currently opened.
  2. If the file is a standard workbook such as .xlsx, this entry is not shown.
  3. Open or create a Smart Spreadsheet (.sst) file, then look for + → Apps → Smart Document in the bottom tab bar.

What is the difference between a smart document and a regular worksheet?

  1. A smart document focuses on rich-text editing and is suitable for notes, plans, records, and structured writing.
  2. A regular worksheet is cell-based and is suitable for data entry, calculation, and analysis.
  3. If you need both data and written explanation in one file, you can use them together.

Can content in a smart document reference data from the same file?

  1. Type / in the smart document editing area.
  2. Open the quick insert menu and choose a data-table-related component if available.
  3. Insert or reference the data content you want to show from the same Smart Spreadsheet file.
