1. Create a local archive folder
Entry path: Settings → Mail Tools → Local Archive Management
- Open WPS Mail and click the settings button in the upper-right corner.
- Open Settings, then select Mail Tools in the left navigation pane.
- Open Local Archive Management.
- In the local archive folder list, click Create Local Archive Folder.
- Confirm the action to create the folder and return to the mail home page.
- Use the new folder as the destination for later archive actions.
- If needed, right-click the created local archive folder to open management options such as deletion.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The new local archive folder appears in the local archive folder list.
- Next action available: The folder can be selected later as an archive destination in archive rules.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not enter Mail Tools first, you may not see Local Archive Management.

2. Set automatic archive rules
Entry path: Settings → Mail Tools → Local Archive Management → Settings
- Open WPS Mail and go to Settings.
- Select Mail Tools and then Local Archive Management.
- In the Automatic Archive Rules area, click Settings and then New Rule.
- Enter a rule name.
- Set the response scope to define which messages should be archived.
- Set the response frequency to define how often archiving runs.
- Set the Earlier than time condition for the target messages.
- In Archive to local folder, choose the destination archive folder.
- If you want the rule to run right away, select Run once immediately after adding.
- Click Add to save and apply the rule.

- In the left-side mail list, find the Local Archive folder.
- Expand the folder to view archived messages.
- Double-click a message to read the full content and attachments offline.

- Interface result: Archived messages are visible in the Local Archive folder.
- Next action available: You can open the message body and attachments.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the archive rule has not run yet, the folder may still be empty.
