How-to Guide
1. Save Document
Entry: Top menu bar → Save
- Create a new document or edit an existing one.
- Click Save in the top menu bar.
- If the document already has a save location, WPS saves the current changes to that location.
- If this is the first save for a new document, choose the save path, file name, and file format as prompted.
- Click Save to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current document content is written to the selected location.
- What you can do next: You can keep editing, close the document, or open it again later.
Tips While Using
- For a first-time save, confirm the name, format, and path before finishing.
- A normal network connection is needed when saving to cloud documents.

2. Save As to a Specific Location
Entry: Top menu bar → More → Save As
- In the document editing page, click More in the top menu bar.
- Click Save As in the drop-down menu.
- Set the file name and choose a file format such as .DOC, .DOCX, or .TXT.
- In the path selection screen, choose local storage, cloud documents, or another storage service.
- Click Save to confirm.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: WPS creates a new saved copy.
- What you can do next: You can open the new file in the new location while keeping the original file.
- No side effect: The original document is not deleted by Save As.

- Confirm the save location to finish.
