How-to Guide
1. View Version History
Entry path: File action button → History → History Versions
- Open a cloud document.
- Click the file action button in the upper-left corner.
- Select History.
- Click History Versions.
- Review the version list in the right pane.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The version list appears on the right side.
- What you can do next: You can choose a version to preview, restore, or save.
Tips While Using
- The document should already be uploaded to the cloud.
- An internet connection is required to load version records.
2. Preview a Historical Version
Entry path: File action button → History → History Versions → More options for the target version → Preview
- Open the version list first.
- Find the target version in the list.
- Click the three-dot icon next to that version.
- Select Preview.
- Review the content in the preview window.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A preview window opens for the selected historical version.
- What you can do next: After checking the content, you can decide whether to restore that version.
Tips While Using
- Check the version time or updater information before previewing so you open the correct version.
3. Restore a Historical Version
Entry path: File action button → History → History Versions → More options for the target version → Restore to this version
- Open the version list and find the target version.
- Click the three-dot icon next to that version.
- Select Restore to this version.
- Confirm the restore action when prompted.
- Wait for the current document to roll back to the selected version.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current document updates to the selected historical version.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing, saving, or reviewing version history.
Tips While Using
- Restoring replaces the current content, so preview the version first if needed.
4. Save a Historical Version as a New File
Entry path: File action button → History → History Versions → More options for the target version → Save As
- Open the version list.
- Find the historical version you want to keep.
- Click the three-dot icon next to that version.
- Select Save As.
- Choose a save location and click Save and Open.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The historical version is saved as a new file and opens.
- What you can do next: You can continue reviewing or editing the older content in the new file.
Tips While Using
- Confirm the save location in advance so the exported file is easy to find later.
