Will existing teams be encrypted automatically after I turn this on?

  1. No. This setting only applies to teams created after the option is enabled.
  2. Existing teams do not turn on document encryption automatically.
  3. If you need protection for an existing team, open that team and enable the related encryption setting manually.

Can other members still view documents after encryption is enabled?

  1. Yes. Team members can still view and edit documents within their authorized scope.
  2. Document encryption is mainly used to limit access from outside the team.
  3. If needed, an administrator can review team member permissions for confirmation.

Can documents from an encrypted team still be opened after they are downloaded locally?

  1. In general, downloaded encrypted documents still require identity verification.
  2. Only authorized people who pass verification can continue opening the file.
  3. This helps maintain access control after the file leaves the team space.
