Will existing teams be encrypted automatically after I turn this on?
- No. This setting only applies to teams created after the option is enabled.
- Existing teams do not turn on document encryption automatically.
- If you need protection for an existing team, open that team and enable the related encryption setting manually.
Can other members still view documents after encryption is enabled?
- Yes. Team members can still view and edit documents within their authorized scope.
- Document encryption is mainly used to limit access from outside the team.
- If needed, an administrator can review team member permissions for confirmation.
Can documents from an encrypted team still be opened after they are downloaded locally?
- In general, downloaded encrypted documents still require identity verification.
- Only authorized people who pass verification can continue opening the file.
