How-to Guide
1. Add Comments
Entry: Right-click a cell → Insert Comment
- Open the target table in table view.
- Select the cell or record where you want to add a comment.
- Right-click and choose Insert Comment.
- Enter your comment in the comment box that opens on the right.
- If you want to notify a specific collaborator, type @, choose the person, and enable the option to notify them.
- Click Send to post the comment.
- After the comment is added, a comment count appears on the related record.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The comment appears on the right, and the target record shows a comment count.
- Next action available: You can continue replying, reviewing comments, or move to another record.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not select the target cell or record first, the comment entry may not appear where you expect.
- Environment note: Before mentioning someone, make sure that person has permission to access the related table.
2. Manage Comments
Entry: Right-click a cell → View Record Activity
- In table view, right-click the cell or record whose comments you want to review.
- Choose View Record Activity.
- In the panel on the right, switch to the Comments tab.
- Review all comments that have been added to that record.
- To continue the discussion, enter a new comment and send it.
- To delete a comment, click the ... icon next to that comment and choose delete.
- After all comments are removed, the comment count on the record disappears.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The record activity panel shows the comment list for that record.
- Next action available: You can add more comments or remove existing ones.
- No side effect: When all comments are deleted, the record no longer shows a comment count.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Comments are shown in time order, so older comments may require scrolling to review.
- Permission note: You can only view comments on records you are allowed to access.
