How-to Guide
1. Switch between personal and public views
Entry path: Left-side data table panel → More options → Personal View/Public View
- Open the target Bitable and find the view you want to switch in the left-side data table panel.
- Click the More options button on the right side of that view to open the drop-down menu.
- Select Personal View/Public View in the menu.
- Switch to the view type you need: a personal view is visible only to the current user, while a public view is visible to collaborators who have viewing permission.
- Click a blank area in the Bitable to apply the setting.
- If the view is set as a personal view, a person icon appears on the right side of the view as a status marker.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected view type is applied successfully.
- Next action: You can continue reviewing or processing data in the current view.
- No side effect: Switching the view type does not change the underlying data.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not click a blank area after switching, the setting may not be applied right away.
- Permission note: A public view is visible to collaborators who have viewing permission, and the actual visibility still depends on collaboration permissions.
- View marker: A personal view shows a person icon so you can identify its current status.
