How-to Guide
1. Create and manage a local shortcut for a Smart Form
Entry: File Operation → Other Open Methods → Create Local Shortcut
- Open the target Smart Form in a browser or in the WPS client.
- Click File Operation in the upper-left area, or open the menu icon.
- Click Other Open Methods → Create Local Shortcut.
- Wait for WPS to generate and download the shortcut to your computer.
- Click Open Folder if you want to view the download location immediately.
- Click X if you want to remove the shortcut that has already been created.
- Find the shortcut on your desktop and double-click it to open the target Smart Form.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The shortcut is downloaded successfully, and an option to open the folder is available.
- Next action available: A desktop shortcut appears and can open the target Smart Form.
- No unwanted impact: Removing the shortcut only removes the local entry and does not affect the original Smart Form.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the target Smart Form is not open first, you cannot create a shortcut for that current form.
- Permissions: If your account no longer has access to the Smart Form, the shortcut may open but the content may not load.
- Environment limits: Online Smart Forms require internet access. If the original form is deleted or your permission is removed, the shortcut will no longer work.
