1. Generate a Local Shortcut
Entry path: File Operations button → Open in Other Ways → Create Local Shortcut
- Open the target collaborative document.
- Click the File Operations button in the upper-left corner.
- Select Open in Other Ways from the menu.
- Click Create Local Shortcut.
- WPS downloads the shortcut to your local Downloads path.
- Move or copy the shortcut to another local path if needed.

- Interface result: A shortcut for the document appears in the local Downloads path.
- What you can do next: You can open the original collaborative document from the shortcut or move the shortcut to another local location.
- No side effect: The original document stays in its original location and is not duplicated as a full local file.
