1. Create a statistics field
Entry point: the + button on the right side of the header row → Statistics
- Click the + button on the right side of the header row.
- In the field type list, select Statistics.
- Enter the field name.
- Click OK to finish creation.
Success Criteria
- UI state: A new statistics field column appears in the table.
- Next actions: You can continue to open field settings and configure calculation options.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If you choose the wrong field type, the new field may not be created as a statistics field.
- Environment limits: You need permission to add fields in the current DBSheet.
2. Configure statistics field settings
Entry point: right-click the field title → Field Settings
- Right-click the title of the statistics field.
- Select Field Settings.
- In the settings panel, choose the data table and field that you want to aggregate.
- Select a calculation method. Available options include sum, count, average, maximum, minimum, deduplication, distinct count, and string concatenation.
- Set filter conditions as needed, and click + Add Condition to add more conditions.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The field settings panel shows the selected calculation parameters.
- Next actions: Return to the table and check whether the summary result has updated.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If you do not select the target field first, the result may not display as expected.
- Environment limits: Filter conditions apply only to related records that meet those conditions.
