How-to Guide
1. Create a linked field
Entry: Click the + button on the right side of the table header, then choose Link to Current Table Field or Link to Another Table Field
- Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
- In the field type list, select Link to Current Table Field or Link to Another Table Field.
- Enter a field name.
- Click OK to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new linked field column appears in the table.
- Next action available: You can open field settings and continue configuring the target table and linking method.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Choosing the wrong field type changes the later setup path, so confirm whether you need the current table or another table before creating the field.
- Environment note: If you plan to link another table, make sure the target table is accessible first.
2. Manually link one-way records
Entry: Right-click the field title, choose Field Settings, and select the target table
- Right-click the field title and choose Field Settings.
- Select the target table you want to link.
- Set the linking method to Manual Linking.
- Adjust the record scope and decide whether multiple linked records are allowed.
- Click OK to save the settings.
- Click inside a cell and choose the record you want to link.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected linked record appears in the cell.
- Next action available: You can change linked records later or adjust the field settings again.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the target table is not selected first, the rest of the linking setup cannot be completed.
- Environment note: Records in the target table must be visible under your current account permissions.
3. Set up auto-matching for one-way linked records
Entry: Right-click the field title, choose Field Settings, select the target table, and switch to Auto Match
- Right-click the field title and choose Field Settings.
- Select the target table you want to link.
- Set the linking method to Auto Match.
- Configure the matching conditions.
- Click OK to save the settings.
- Review whether matching records have been linked automatically.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Matching records show linked results automatically.
- Next action available: You can refine the matching conditions and check the results again.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Conditions that are too broad or too narrow can affect the matching result.
