How-to Guide

1. Create the field

Entry: Table header right side → plus button → Bidirectional Linked Field

  1. Click the plus button on the right side of the table header.
  2. Select the Bidirectional Linked Field type from the field list.
  3. Enter a field name.
  4. Click Confirm to finish creating the field.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: a new bidirectional linked field appears in the current table.
  • What you can do next: you can open field settings and continue with range or multiple-record options.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: choosing the wrong field type creates a different field, so check the field type before confirming.
  • Environment note: make sure you are working in an editable table.

Entry: Right-click field title → Field Settings → Available linked record range → All records

  1. Right-click the field title.
  2. Select Field Settings.
  3. Find the available linked record range setting.
  4. Select All records.
  5. Turn on the option to allow multiple linked records if needed.
  6. Click Confirm to save the setting.
  • Interface result: the field settings are saved and the range is set to all records.
  • What you can do next: when you enter linked values, you can choose from all records in the target table.
  • Common mistake: if you do not click Confirm, the setting is not saved.
  • Environment note: when the target table has many records, clear naming helps you identify the right linked items later.

  1. Right-click the field title.
  2. Select Field Settings.
  3. Find the available linked record range setting.
  4. Select Selected records.
  5. Choose one of these methods as needed:
    1. Select records that match conditions.
    2. Select a specified view from the target table.
  6. Turn on the option to allow multiple linked records if needed.
  7. Click Confirm to save the setting.
  • Interface result: the field settings are saved and the range changes to selected records.
  • What you can do next: only records that match the condition or selected view appear during linking.
  • Common mistake: if the condition or view is too narrow, too few records may be available.
