How-to Guide
1. Create a Single-Option Field
Entry point: Click the plus button on the table header, then choose Single Option
- Click the plus button on the right side of the table header.
- Select Single Option from the field type list.
- Enter the field name.
- Click OK to finish creating the field.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new single-option field column appears in the table.
- What you can do next: You can open field settings and continue managing options.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Closing the window before confirming the field name may prevent the field from being created.
2. Add and Edit Options
Entry point: Right-click the field title, then open Field Settings and the option list area
- Right-click the single-option field title and select Field Settings.
- In the option list area, click Add Option to create a new option.
- Review the color assigned to the option.
- Click the square color button in front of the option to change its display color.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The option list shows the new or updated option.
- What you can do next: The latest option text and color appear when you open the cell selector.

- Common mistake: Closing the settings panel before confirming changes may leave edits unsaved.
3. Batch Edit Options
Entry point: Right-click the field title, open Field Settings, then click Batch Edit
- Right-click the single-option field title and select Field Settings.
- Click Batch Edit in the option list.
- Enter one option per line, or paste multiple lines of content.
- Click OK to save the generated options.

- Interface result: Multiple new options are created in one action.
- What you can do next: You can continue adjusting individual option colors or order.

4. Allow New Options During Entry
Entry point: Right-click the field title, open Field Settings, then turn on Allow adding options during entry
- Right-click the single-option field title and select Field Settings.
- Turn on Allow adding options during entry.
- Enter content that is not already in the preset list while filling in a record.
- Add that content as a new option and continue using it.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: New content can be added into the option list during entry.
- What you can do next: Later records can reuse the newly added option directly.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the switch is off, new text will not be handled as a new option.
5. Set a Default Value
Entry point: Right-click the field title, open Field Settings, then choose Default Value
- Right-click the single-option field title and select Field Settings.
- Choose one option from the Default Value drop-down list.
- Save the field settings.
- Add a new record and check whether the field fills in the default option automatically.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: New records show the selected default option automatically.
- What you can do next: You can change or clear the default value later.
