1. Create a Multiple Choice Field

Entry: + button on the right side of the table header → Multiple Choice

  1. Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
  2. Select Multiple Choice from the field type list.
  3. Enter the field name.
  4. Click OK to finish creating the field.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: a new Multiple Choice Field column appears in the data table.
  • Next action available: you can open field settings and continue adding or editing options.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: closing the dialog before confirming the field name may stop the field from being created.
  • Environment note: the current data table must allow adding fields, and you need edit permission.

2. Add and Edit Options

Entry: right-click the field title → Field Settings → option list area

  1. Right-click the Multiple Choice Field title and select Field Settings.
  2. In the option list area, click + Add Option to add a new option.
  3. Click the square color button before an option to change its display color.
  4. Continue adding or adjusting options based on your classification needs.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the option list shows the new or updated options.
  • Next action available: these options can be selected directly when filling in cells.

3. Batch Edit Options

Entry: right-click the field title → Field SettingsBatch Edit

  1. Right-click the Multiple Choice Field title and select Field Settings.
  2. Click Batch Edit in the option list.
  3. Enter one option name per line, or paste multiple lines of text.
  4. Click OK to save the generated options.

  • Interface result: multiple new options appear in the option list at once.

4. Allow New Options During Entry

  1. Right-click the Multiple Choice Field title and select Field Settings.
  2. Turn on Allow adding options during entry.
  3. While entering data, type content that is not yet in the preset option list.
  4. Add that content as a new option and save it to the option list.
