1. Create a contact field
Entry: Tap the table header → Edit → Field Type → Contacts
- Tap the table header in the target table.
- In the floating toolbar, select Edit.
- In the field editing window, tap Field Type.
- Select Contacts.
- Set the field rules as needed: Allow selecting multiple contacts and Allow sending notifications to newly inserted contacts.
- Enter the field name.
- Tap Confirm in the upper-right corner to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new Contacts field column appears in the table.
- What you can do next: You can open record details and add contacts to this field.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not tap the table header first, you may not enter the field editing state.
- Environment note: To select people from the address book, make sure your account is signed in and the address book is available.
2. Add contacts
Entry: Tap the target cell → Record details → Contacts field
- Tap the target cell that you want to fill in.
- In the record details panel, tap the Contacts field.
- On the WPS address book page, search for or select a contact.
- Tap Confirm in the lower-right corner to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The contact name appears in the Contacts field for that record.
- What you can do next: You can continue adding more contacts or edit other fields in the same record.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you leave the address book page before confirming the selection, the contact will not be written to the record.
- Environment note: The Contacts field requires matching contacts to already exist in the WPS address book.
