1. Create a barcode field
Entry path: Tap the column header → Edit → Field Type → Barcode
- Tap the target column header.
- In the floating toolbar, select Edit.
- In the field editing window, tap Field Type.
- Select Barcode.
- Choose whether to turn on Only allow mobile barcode scanning for entry:
- If turned on, the field only supports barcode entry through mobile scanning.
- If turned off, the field can accept any content.
- Set the field name, then tap Confirm to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new barcode field appears in the table.
- Next action available: You can open record details and enter barcode content in that field.
Tips While Using
- If you want a consistent entry method across the team, turn on the scan-only option.
- Use a clear field name so the column is easier to identify later.
2. Enter barcode data
Entry path: Tap the target cell → open record details → select the barcode field
- Tap the target cell to open the related record details.
- Tap the Barcode field.
- Choose the entry method you need:
- Manually enter the barcode number: type the barcode content directly.
- Live scan: use the phone camera to scan the barcode and enter the result.
- Photo recognition: take a photo of the barcode and recognize it.
- Upload from phone: choose a local barcode image and recognize the content in the image.
- Confirm the recognized result and save the record.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The barcode field shows the entered barcode content.
- Next action available: You can continue viewing, editing, or managing the record.
Tips While Using
- For live scanning or photo recognition, better lighting usually improves recognition.
- When recognizing a barcode from an image, keep the barcode area clear and complete.
